Pentium Dual Core vs Pentium Core 2 Duo

Core architecture and Netburst architecture,

C2D handles MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4, EM64T, Pentium D handles MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3 Multimedia Instructions

No wrong, the core 2 duo doesn't handle SSE4, but it handles SSSE3.

From wikipedia
Before Intel used the official name, it was often referred to as SSE4
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSSE3

So, SSSE3 was referred to as SSE4 before Intel released Core 2 Duo

However, Penryn is the first processor that is going to handle SSE4

Edit: Pentium D handles EM64T

Core Duo (not Core 2) doesn't handle both SSSE3 and EM64T instructions
