What are these cd's?

I read up on them but don't really understand what they are. I know they have a ton of gb's storage.

Do they sell these in packs that you can burn movies onto and stuff like that?

And if so, damn how much do they cost?

They are a type of disk that uses a blue laser to burn more info on a disk and allows for true HD video. From what I have seen the disks go for about 5 bux a piece and a player goes for about 300. I am not sure how much a burner would be.

Blu-Ray players generally go for a bit more than $300, although they might be releasing one around that price range soon. Usually they go from $500-$800ish.

Blu-Ray burners are very expensive as well, they rarely sell for under $500.

Future of disks is games on 30-50GB disks and movies with 35mm film detail coming on 30-50GB disks bare in mind though HDDVD disks and players are in competition with Bluray and are giving us another betamax and VHS war half of the consumers may be left wiuth alot of usless gear my money is on Blue Ray it's already winning in the US. If you buy a PS 3 your forced to use bluRay.
