 Right ppl get ya thinkin hats on please?

My bro just bought a PS3. He has a 42inch non high def panasonic plasma tv its number is -->th42pwd7.

The tv is basically a huge ars monitor connecting through a 15 pin vga lead. The vga lead screws into the tv and has a scart attached to the other end of the cable which plugs into the freeview box to watch tv.

However he has a two way scart adapter so the scart from the PS3 plugs in and so does the scart/vga cable resulting in a connection from the PS3 into the plasma but in just wont work says no signal?
We have tried changing settings , running through freeview box and even the dvd player but no joy.
We have also got a hdmi to vga converter female to male i think something like that converter but no joy as the tv dont support HDTV.

Is there a solution or is he doomed , he wakes up every morning just to clean his PS3 sad or wat?

Help will be appreciated big style

Actually you won't be able to hook it up via HDMI because it's only for HD. If the tv doesn't have hd it won't produce an hd output. He can only use standard a/v cables. Sorry!

Yea I was unaware of such a tv too. How new is it? It's shame to have such a nice sized plasma without hd. I truely feel for you.

Some of the older plasmas didn't come in high def, they can't in "enhanced definition", which is basically just 480p.

Its a fairly old series its the 42 series i think i said, the 45 supports high def. Am just stumpt to how he can connect it in my first post there's the serial 42-th something or other that will display the tv in google.

Its not High Def just a big ars monitor.
