DVI and Video card question

I have a question my video card a Radeon 9550 has two ports for a monitor. a analog and a dvi. right now im using my anolog port since i do not have a dvi screen.

If i bought any dvi screen it would fit into the dvi port right?

Well, Yeah, probably, I can't see why it wouldn't.

Even if it didn't you could just buy an adapter

Oh right, I've never heard of them before, I don't know sorry, but I'm pretty sure there isn't that many different ports. I'm sure DVI on a card will work with DVI on a monitor.

This is not always true..

some DVI are Digital only and some are Analog only check out the
DVI Connector Guide that StrangleHold posted

I have the same thing in my GFX card, i have the normal serial and a DVI-I, i just bought a DVI-I to VGA converter off eBay and am running 2 monitors off it, easy as pie

DVI-I to VGA Converter on eBay - seen how cheap it is!!! This is the exact one i bought off the exact same seller, got the same pic and everything , id go for that!
