hey,

im not sure if this is the right place to ask this question so i apologise if so.

i am going to buy a very large gaming screen for my computer, hoping to be a 30". i was told that sony bravia make the best LCD's, which one is the best? i was something nice a thin possibly to go on my wall and i will be buying around August. i was just hoping for some good ideas so i can spend a fair bit of research on it before i pay that much for it.

my budget is around AU$2000 or lower if possible.

would that be a stupid idea going for such a big screen?
would my 8800gtx handle such huge resolution playing the latest games maxxed?

Thanks,

Most 30" monitors require DVI Dual link, in the reviews I read the HP 30" monitor was the best followed by dell then samsung, but the reviews implied you cant go altogether to wrong with any of them.

You might want to go for 32" since the difference in the price isn't so big (unless the company you're buying it off, is overpricing it)

I watched a video on YouTube of a guy from Australia building a great computer with 2 XFX 8800GTX's , 30" Mac screen, Quad Core X6700, etc, etc.

He said the only reason he went for 2 8800GTX's was that he was getting a big lag with 1 8800GTX.

Something to think about. If you want to go this large, you may have to get another GTX. I guess you could buy the monitor, try it, and then theres always the option of buying another GTX later!

Mac Monitor? The response times are 14ms, no wonder he is lagging.
