LG DVD Burner is SLOW

Well, the drive only allows for 16x on DVD-/+R. It could be the media you are using, the DVD's may have a speed limit of 4x. It could be a problem with your software, you may need a different version of nero. It could be a drive problem.
 
DMA is direct memory access.

But does it even give you an option to write faster than 4x? Do you choose 16x, and then it tops out at 4x? Or does it only let you choose 4x in the first place?

are you using high quality media?

Nope I only get 4X, no other option. By the way my DVDs are blank, nothing on them. I will see the Chinese salesman tomorrow and find out the specs on them.

buy some quality media next time

verbatim, tayo yuden, or even sony 8x if you can still find them

sam's club has verbatim 50 packs on sale for $8 right now.

You can't beat that with a stick.
