I dont know why i did this, and im probably gonna be flammed to the max but i made a site with some of my thoughts on the Mac Commercials and Pc actually being better.

Its not finished and some main arguments are yet to be complete along with charts showing performance ect, but you get the idea.

well I admire the fact you are putting out your opinions and I do think that the whole PC versus Mac thing gets out of hand, and too much is said out of ignorance.

However, macs can run windows, so really you should argue more over hardware than software because a Mac can now play any freaking game you want to.

Oh yeah, OS 10.1 LOL dude, come on you can't compare that. It would be like comparing windows 98se to Windows XP Pro SP 2. OS X is a complete different OS now and has made a LOT of tranisitions. 10.2 had a major firmware overhaul and that is why there is that requirement.

I mean I think you make some valid points but at least research your thoughts instead of just yelling out nonsense.

I didnt base my info on the old Mac. I stated that as well in my 'My View' page and pretty much said that yes that would be like comparing Windows 95.

And i think they are over priced. And im gonna make a page on that. I mean.
For instance. For. $1,999.00 you can get this:

* 1GB memory
* 250GB hard drive1
* 8x DL SuperDrive
* NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT graphics
with the core 2 duo 2.16ghz.

I think it comes with a pretty low end graphics card and 1gb ram is like the minimum for high end applications that it should be able to run thats for the imac.

I can get much better than that for 1k AUSTRALIAN down here.

Lovely website, great arguments, but they just dont quite come across when you forget to capitalize your I's.

Also, why is everything an image, thats annoying, people cant quote you on other websites and such. I mean, unless you LIKE people stealing your images and bandwidth instead of just text.

Yeah sorry about it being an image. Its because i want it to look the same on all browsers, people keep chucking a spaz at me becuase the text is off mark in browsers like Ie becuase i test with mozila.

Maybe it would be a good idea to upload the text files for them as well on a hosting site for download? Would that be a good idea?

EDIT: Im making it flash right now so it still looks the same but you can copy the text. And a jpeg image of 200k gets turned into 50k.

are you stupid???? Is this a serious statement???? This is one of (if not the) STUPIDEST things i've ever heard!!! (also, i'm pretty sure that "stupidest" isnt a word)

Not ONLY are they EXTREMELY overpriced, but they are no where near high-end (or at least not as high-end as they should be for the price)

The only thing Macs have going for them is that they have "style" (in some peoples opinion...) Personally i hate Macs, iPods, iTunes, and Apple ingeneral, so yes my opinion is biased.

That being said, I believe everything in this post (except my opinions about iPods/Apple/etc) is true

PC are easy to find parts for and are cheaper, OS is prone to viruses but it is still good

Only thing mac about a mac these days is the case PSU motherboard, OS and buying freedom.

real difference is:-

Once you buy a mac your automaticly brainwashed.

Upgrading a graphics card in a PC gives you enough experience to build your own computer.

You can buy any parts for a PC to build one for cheaper price than manufacturers and half price of a mac of the same performance.

For a mac you cant build one your forced to pay Apple to build and upgrade it or fix it. yes yes I know you can upgrade the ram yourself try installing a motherboard in one.

Macs look far better than PC hmmmmm why not buy a highend PC case chrome finnish and all that.

Macs have always been regarded by artists as being high performace better at photoshop. Thats because their talking about the dual socket processors that they can't afford they still don't have a clue about the quad socket PC workstations. For a long time special effects studios working in 3D have used PC as they have always been higher performance per pound.

ILM artists and animators have always used PC workstations same with Dreamworks and the Mill they are the top 3D effects studios and got the power to buy anything.

All we can argue about now is price differences and upgrading freedom, PC wins on both.

Anyways, I think I am done expressing any kind of logical reason with people on this forum about features, specs, and price. Just because you lump a bunch of crap in a box, read the specs off a spec sheet and post it in your sig and think you know all there is to know doesn't even give you a valid opinion on what is being discussed.

Seriously, look at all the bundled features of a Mac and then compare it to a PC, then add in all the extra costs to give the PC every function a mac can do.

They both have their pros and both have their cons, but too many people just give out mis information and have no idea what they are talking about.

Iv been with Windows forever. Having major problems with it in the past....here recently my XP Home has done just fine. Stable, no viruses, pretty fast, and easy to use. Iv used MAC, dont like it. Just too different for me.

And for the ones who say Windows is prone to virsuses, if you didnt surf porn so much it wouldnt be so prone

well a PC definately is better than a mac and there's many reasons why but i would love to use a mac. i've never used one and i know it wont be difficult to use because if someone uses linux very well, using a mac should't be a problem.
