registration flagging up

hi there. I wonder if you may be able to help.
I have just bought a compaq v6000 with vista premium. every 30 minutes, a window flags up with a registration reminder for compaq products. there are 3 choices, register now, register later, and do not remind me anymore. No matter which one I choose, the window still flags up every 30 mins.
Anyone any ideas?

its just to register the pc "to maximise your ownership and support experience" whatever THAT means!!

lol, if i were you, i would jsut register, it might help when you have issues, i dont know lol. but it also might make it go away lol.

tried all that and it still comes up. apart from that, it's a fantastic laptop. very stylish

well, all i can think of to suggest is:

• Try again
• Contact the manufacturer / where you bought it from
• reformat it (bit extreme)
• erm
• throw it out the window

thats all i can suggest lol. someone else might know how to fix it, but i cant think of anything at the moment (sorry).
