How do you partition the hard drive?

This is done when you are first installing windows, you have a screen during the setup process that enables you to split your hard drive.

Alternatively, you dont have to do it during your setup process and can use a program like Partition Magic to do it :)

Hope this helps :)

thanks man. i'll try it tomorrow when i'm not busy. i'm gonna put more ram on my comp tomorrow. you've been helpful! appreciate it bro! :)

I want to store all my media files on one. I have a Maxtor 160GB HDD.

jnskyliner34 you need to use a program that is called GParted. It's a free bootable program where you can partition the hard drive without starting over. Its a lot easier than starting over thats for sure.

Here is the download link.

You want the Live CD just use burning software and burn this ISO (which is the format for a bootable cd). Once you have it on a CD then boot to it. (Use VESA) VESA refers to the drivers you'll need to pick once it boots.

Hope this helps.

I want to part. my hard drive, but I am running Windows Moron Edition and all my partitions end up a preset size (something odd like 41 MB, for example), and I can only make three partitions. Suggestions?
