regular xbox inside a computer

i did a search but came up with nothing. i was wondering if it was possible to take apart a regular xbox and put it inside of a computer tower. along with my computer. it seems entirely possible, has anyone seen or heard of anyone doing this? i dont want to mod the xbox or anything, i just want it inside the computer.
 
I dunno if it would be possible,I suppose it would if you have a realy big case but i dont undertstand why you would want to do this :confused:
 
Any mod of this sort is feasible with the right know how and will. The DVD drive and hard drive should fit just fine... you'd have to drill some new holes for the PSU and mobo, but it could definitely be done, and it wouldn't have to be a big case either. A regular ATX midtower should do fine... a miniATX tower should probably work too.

i just think it would be cool to have it inside the computer rather than another console sitting next to my computer.
 
Just make the Xbox internals screw onto the opposite side of the motherboard. It will be a mess of cables, and you will have to make sure it all stays cool, but it is possible, with some custom fabrication.

I beg to differ there... I still havn't gotten my own Xbox to tinker with, but the few I have worked in dont' use a standard IDE DVD-ROM. I think it used some other ribbon; but the HD is a basic 3.5" with a standard IDE cable.

I'm pretty sure the Xbox also uses a modified ATX power supply. I don't know if a standard one would plug right in or if it needs to be converted... And the screw layout on the board is probably different than ATX standards...not that it's impossible to modify around it.
 
i remember sega used to sell a sega saturn 'card' that would let you play saturn games on your pc. and even so, the saturn is still the only console that never had it's copy protection defeated!

that'd be cool if companies still did that
