Can I Upgrade My Laptop CPU?

Redlands, Ca. I'm also on a tight budget, so I'm probably going to upgrade ram before the processor. But still, if I were to eventualy go to the tl56, there should be a huge difference.
 
Yeah, definitly upgrade the ram to 1-2GBs. Also hard drives play a huge role in load times, opening apps, etc, so definitly look into that as well.
 
Or there is a panel on the bottom that pops off and then you pull up the hard drive. Take it out and check what kind of HDD it is. I would guess Sata.

I don't understand your memory question.

I looked it up some more- I have the Hitachi Travelstar 4k120. It runs ATA-7, while everything else is ATA-6. So I know I'm going to upgrade that.
My memory question is that I'm running 2 512mb and I'm wondering if I could take one 512 out and put a 2gb in its place, so that I would be using one 2gb ram and one 512mb ram. I am asking if my system will run that without a problem.
