K i have a pc that only has a PCI slot (not pci e, pci) i upgraded from integrated graphics to nvidia 6200 pci. Prbably not but is there anything under the below 6200 that is better then the 6200?

thanks

must be a typo. the number goes lower, so dose the performance. the higher, the better performance. a 5500 more? that doesnt sound right.

Thats partly true. It's true when your comparing video cards in the same class, such as the 6 or 7 series.

For example, the 8500GT is not better then the 7950GT. And the 7300GS is not better then the 6800GT.

the Radeon X1300pro 256mb is the FASTEST PCI card.
Look for it on newegg.

Pushes out more performance than the 6200.

But the pci slot bottlenecks performance i beleive.

Well, when i had bought my 7300GS at best buy, it was $70, looking at the card that was next to it on the shelf, an old AGP FX5200 for $120!!

Iv seen some outragous prices on the FX series, i paid $100 for the 5200 i bought a LONGGGGG time ago.

I dont see why they even cost more then $10, they arnt worth anything, they never were. The 5900 was ok, but nothing like it should have been. What did it have, only 4 pipelines? It was just sad, the whole series.

Yes, diduknowthat is right. I never knew there was a x1550 PCI card. You would hardly see a performance increase, because of the PCI slot. But go with the x1550. A friend has a pci-e version and works great.
