My computer keeps beeping...

This morning it was one beep every now and then. And now its like 1 - 3 beeps and something like an error message sound.

But nothing appears.

I've ran Ad-Aware and Spy Bot.
I have Avast!, its always on.

It kept beeping when I would walk away from the computer with music playing and AIM running.

So I also thought somebody could make there sign on and sign off noise that.

Its not a high pitch beep, its more deeper.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I cant really narrow it down.

I have a wireless/wired router.

I connected via ethernet to it.

Any way to get rid of it? Lol.

Kind of annoying.

Lock your PC in a cupboard.

If it's coming from your PC speaker, it's likely hardware related. However, it could be your speakers; try the simple things first - it's usually things that you don't check at first.

If it's not the high pitched beep, then it's probably not from the motherboard's speakers. Try completely unplugging your PC speakers and see if you still hear the beep.

well my comp does beep when i turn it on...(well the case does)
and every now and then it would alert me if i made the cpu exceed over 40 degrees celcius ( people in the northern hemishpere do the maths
F=9/5 C + 32
