Celeron D or Intel Pentium ?

Hey guy .. i'm currently running on an intel celeron 2.4ghz 126kb , ati 9250 128mb , 512 mb of ram 333 mhz ... and i know it is not enough for gaming today .. so i wanna change a processor that suit my motherboard ( Socket 478 , Intel Pentium 4 , FSB 533 MHZ ) and i'm on barget ... and i'm thinking of an INTEL Celeron D 335 2.8GHz (256K/Box) 533MHz FSB ... and i have 2 questions .. is my motherboard able to support this processor and is it suitable to play game ... like (MapleStory) it seem ok when i'm playing maplestory but kind of lack ... so i try game accelerator and i notice that the speed increases abit ... i try game like Swawt 4 ... and i'm like lagging badly ... yep any1 out there can give me any advice plz ... thz

You sure about that? i did a bit of digging on your motherboard and it seems to use the SiS650 chipset which runs a 400MHz BUS speed

Regardless, whats your budget for this upgrade? :)
 
If it only suports a 400 mHz. bus speeed, cele-d's won't work, since they use 533 mhz. FSB, and the new P4's use 800.
If your budget is about 60-70 $, then you should get a midrange P4, otherwise, I htink a cele-d should be fine, I run BF2 on mine.
