hey guys i found this motherboard it required DDR2 1200 RAM. i did some search on google. they don't tell me much about this type of ram.
can you guys give me more informations about it??

and is a DDR2 800 the same as DDR2 1200?

No mobo requires DDR2-1200. Some support it though. DDR2-800 uses the same interface as DDR2-1200 (DDR2 :P), the only difference is the speed/timings and voltage required

Cromwell pretty much summed everything up.

The motherboard doesnt require DDR2-1200, it simply means it can support it. (I'm guessing you're looking at the eVGA 680i?)

DDR2-800 and DDR2-1200 use the same slot, and are identical except ones faster.

o thx!! and.. there is any other names for DDR2 1200?

and yup thats the motherboard i am looking at. so is it good?

The eVGA 680i is a terrific motherboard. I used to have one and I overclocked my E6300 from 1.86Ghz to 3.2Ghz, and it has alot of "upgradability".
