Hey guys!

Let me start off by saying hello and im proud to be apart of your community, hopefully i get some good ideas giving to me! Ok so, Here is the Rig im building in about 2 weeks. Post any ideas or anything you want concerning my upcoming Rig. It consists of:

HARDWARE (Final Stages)
CASE: Antec P182 ATX Black Mid Tower
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (-OC'd-)
GPU: EVGA E-GEFORCE 8800GTS 500MHZ 640MB
MOBO: ASUS P5W DH Deluxe ATX
RAM: OCZ Platinum (2x1GB) XTC REV.2 PC2-6400 DDR2-800 (2X1GB)
HEATSINK: Thermalright ULTRA-120 Extreme
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 500GB
+ Western Digital 160GB (Which i own already)
PSU: Corsair CMPSU-620HX 620W
RUNNING ON: Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit
EXTRA: Zalman ZM-RS6F 5.1 Channel Equivalent 6 Speaker Real Surround Headphones
(= $1,790.32)
 
Intel announces it, core 2 quad q6600 goes to like 266$ (usa dollars) etc

Every thing looks good but I would go 64 bit for the operating system and I would also get the ultimate version instead of home premium.
 
Any reason as to why?

As to which part? The 64 bit OS will be more future proof and he wont have to spend as much money when he needs to upgrade to 64 bit cause there will be 64 bit software and games coming out sometime in the near future.

As for the last part now that I think about it Home Premium will be just fine.
 
Thats what I was gonna say. You don't need Ultimate if you're just going to game and do other simple tasks.

Ya I have no idea why I said get ultimate I have home premium and it is good enough for me and I have the 32 bit version but that is only because I have 32 bit cpu otherwise I would have gotten 64 bit.
