Barcalona question!

AMD'S new proc called barcalona is a quad core. It's suposed to outperform intels. But i thought barcalona is a server CPU so why would anyone buy it for gamming??

Yeah, , the barcalona is designed to compete with Intel's server CPUs. Its supposed to rip the Xeon. I guess there is nothing stopping anyone wanting to get a barcalona for gaming.

The Xeon is owning the Server CPU market. I haven't been to a network environment that was using AMD.

The Agena and Kuma will be the desktop CPUs going by Phenom X4 and X2, The Agena will be the same as the Barcalona but for socket AM2/AM2+ and the Kuma will be the dual core.

Barcalona suppost to be around the end of July and the Desktop Agena and Kuma around September
