what is actually the reason why poor pixels occur?

i want to know - i have a ATI RADEON 256 mb card

and im not happy with the actual visual qualitu of when i go to web sites.

some of the larger text is all pixlated, but the smaller text is smooth....

i have the 1200 X1900 widescreen 17 inch - the real god one (UXGA)

the best one u can get from dell

(9400 laptop )

so, lets say, for the sake of having the so called very best screen moniotor i can get

what do i have to do to make the graphics look more smooth and defined?

i dobnt care about games and all that

i just want to photos and web sites to look as excellent as possible in terms of graphics being diplayed.

is thius all about the graphics card

should i get the 256 ge force over the ATI RADEON

??

I think its your settings that is causing the pixelation, I highly doubt that the fault is with your graphics card.

my seetings are default withdell

i have it on maz resolution and standard dpi.

the pixels are only on seome larger text / tabs on the web pages etc

im just fussy//.//

my card is pretty ordinary many people say as well

ati radeon 256

Even with integrated graphics which in my books is worse than any dedicated graphics card, I don't think you would get pixelation on 2D rendering. Have you tried another browser or something?

how u mean

?

wil the ge force 256 be ok then?

i only have the mobility radeon at the moment

im getting the dell M1710 XPS instead which has the 256 ge force nvidea

I think you should try another browser, geforce 255 should be ok for normal 2D rendering, the same can't be said about 3D performance though.

hmmm
well i only use explorer

and i have visisted over 30 webn sites to sample the graphics...

ill just hopoe that the ge force 256 ios better than the ATIO radeon

Could be drivers possibly too. When my drivers are gone or corrupted the screen seems blurry.. definitely check the refresh rate also as it causes the same problems.
