No colors in browser windows...

I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my the web browser colors on my girlfriend's mom's computer.

Most colors do not show up on webpages in either Mozilla or IE. For an example, the page I'm looking at as I type this is almost entirely black and white, except for the ads at the top of the page, the emoticon icons, and the links.

I've looked through the internet options and image settings, but cannot find a place that will let me change the internet browser window color settings.

Have you tried this?

Microsoft Internet Explorer:

--

Click the "Colors" button that is on the same line as the "Accessibility" button.

deselect the box that is near to "Use Windows colors".

Click on the colours that you wish to modify for text, background or links.

Choose the desired colour from the colour palette.

Click OK once to return to the Colours dialogue box.

Click OK again when you’ve completed your choices on text, background and links.

The colours should change automatically. If this doesn't happen, click "View" from the top menu bar of the page, then click "Refresh" to load your settings for the page.

If what LukeAge said doesn't work, I would scan the computer with an anti-virus ... It might be a Virus....

Yeah, this only changes the colors of the backgrounds and links.

The browsers should be displaying colored fields and highlights to make it easier to see what's on the page. Does anyone else have any ideas?

I actually suggested something in my post right after LukeAge....

Yeah, I have to find an antivirus program for this computer and see if that helps.

It seems weird that all it would do is make things black and white, though. And that it would affect Mozilla and IE in the same way.

You don't have any anti-virus???

I'm sure your computer is already infected by a lot of viruses... get one as soon as possible and run a full computer scan!

NEVER LEAVE A COMPUTER CONNECTED TO INTERNET WITHOUT AN ANTI-VIRUS :P

I know too many people that don't have protection when going on the internet. :S

It is VERY important.
