Setting ram timings....

My corsair memory is advertised as 5-5-5-12 @1.9v, its set default on my motherboard at 5-5-5-18 @1.9v....i read reviews that people set it to 4-4-4-12 @2.1v....now in bios do i just set the memory timings to 4-4-4-12 and in voltages set the memory to 2.1v? is that all i need to do? Thanks.....or should i just leave it alone and not risk it?

True ill try it after i load windows so that i can see if its stable, so thats the only numbers i would change, right? just want to make sure im not missing anything..

The timings aren't that important. Even if you lowered them considerably you probably wouldn't notice the difference.

That RAM is awesome, I would OC it to about 900Mhz or higher.

Nice i see you have yours at 1000mhz, can you tell a difference?

probably only in benchmarking software or intesive program use, but general usage you wont be able to tell the difference.

Yeah, i changed it to 5-5-5-12 @1.9v as advertised...ill just leave it alone, i may in the future set it to 4-4-4-12. But it would be fine for now, still gotta get XP then i can have fun
