QX = Quad Extreme.

On the website here it says:

XRT i don't you you have the right to insult someone just for a simple mistake, and he was right it was the dual core version not the quad
 
@ XRT - Chill out, for a start you are fighting a null point, nobody ever disagreed with what you said, so im not entirely sure what you're so worked up about

@ chupacabra - Yes, as it has been stated, the X6800 is an extreme chip, More specifically the Core 2 Extreme 6800 (Dual Core)

@ everyone - Let's not get into an argument here, stay on topic from now on or the thread will be closed
 
You can get the QX8600 over here at Overclockers as well as the QX6700 and Q6600, oh and some quad-core Xeons.

Yes the QX6800 is a quad-core, however the X6800 that was in the link he posted is a dual-core.
