Thats actually an error, it's around 1.48v I believe. It shows 1.21v because the SpeedStep is still enabled for some reason, and like a millisecond after taking the screenshot the CPU speed went down to 2.3Ghz.3.25 is pretty good for 1.21v.
Not sure, but I will find outI wonder how high you could push the FSB![]()
I'm using this cooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835103001YAY cant wait for mine (what cooling are you using and what are you temps like)
I was thinking more along the lines of a CNPT 9500 or 9700[-0MEGA-];681081 said:Why is it an odd choice? I've had those tall Freezer 7 Pro's and they cause nothing but problems for me. They are really top heavy for one, and when they do work my load temps were ~65C.
I'm looking into a thermoelectric cooler from Vigor that should work much better, but for now this one works great.I was thinking more along the lines of a CNPT 9500 or 9700![]()

I've messed around with the RAM settings as well. I have it set to a low speed with high timings to make sure the RAM isnt making the system unstable, but once I find a stable processor speed I mess with the RAM to have a high bandwidth and low latency configuration.Wow. Are you sure the RAM isn't limiting it now or did you set it to the slowest speed as well?
They should be disabled automatically, or you can disable them manually in the BIOS. With good motherboards when you raise the FSB, the only thing that should increase is the CPU speed and RAM speed. Although for kicks I raised the PCI-E speed from 100Mhz to 115Mhz.Very impressive!
I have a question though, is there any way that OC'ing can effect the PCI-e slot, in any way, IE, if I OC, can it raise / lower anything to do with it?
Oh ya, it improves gaming performance a heck of a lot, and it seems faster overall as well. I'm going to try to take it to 3.3Ghz and see if thats stable.Alright, Sure.
That's a nice OC you've got there though, Have you noticed a difference from stock?
