Need memory help fast!

Ok i have a hp computer with 1 gb of mem. i want to upgrade to 2 gb and there is a deal on memory on bestbuy. All they say is it is ddr2 pc5300. However i have ddr2 pc5300s. Is there a difference and will it work in mine. Thanks

Yes... I don't quite understand the question. As long as it's DDR2 and the same or higher speed as what you have, you're fine.

You can put faster RAM into you system, but it will ran at a slower speed. Faster DDR2 RAM are backward compatible.

Yes PC5300 is the speed. It may also be listed as DDR2-667.
