Antivirus which uses least system resources?

I use zonealarm internet security at the moment and its truly amazing. Maybe I dont need such intensive protection after all and it requires a fair bit of resources and messes my wireless internet a little. So is there a calmer antivirus which needs little resources to work (preferably with firewall), regardless of price what do u suggest. I just need something small and fast I think and one that doesnt take forever to load on startup. Thanks for reading.

believe it or not, norton anti virus corporate edition (not the retail copy you buy in stores) takes up a total of about 5mb of memory and not cpu really. Only problem is you gotta buy a corporate license which is expensive!

some good ones that get a lot of press are

avast
avg
panda

I would just try those out and see which you like.

I agree. Go with avast or avg.

try using eScan Anti-Virus. Its one of the most user friendly programs out there. I use it so I can vouch for it, it uses the least amount of system resources and is the most customizable antivirus software.

Does this have firewall? Does it use less than AVG? Thanks

But avast! couldn't find a virus and a worm which blocked my internet session, then I replaced it with ZA and everything goes cool ;)
