It's a good computer for general use, but with only 1GB of RAM and the low-end video card, it's not a good gaming PC or heavy-use PC.

this is now the "post your vista scores" thread...lol, actually i'm wondering how i got 5.9 on desktop performance but only 4.1 on gaming graphics. =3

on mine: its a little old ya. when we first got it, it didn't even have 1gb ram, it had 512 mb.

I own several computers at par or below that performance level, there all still great for the internet surfing and a lot of things. I wouldn't ditch it yet...

On that note, I used a PIII 1GHz Coppermine machine with 512MB RAM (Max.) for 2 years. Did pretty much everything I needed it to do. Was not into gaming at the time (still not, really). I then used it as a server for another year or so, and now my older 2.08GHz HP replaced it as the server, but I still run the PIII 24/7 for a file backup server.

I also have a P4 1.5GHz eMachine, w/ 512MB RAM that friends use when they visit.

yeah as long as the parts are still working that PC is still very useful for everyday activities
