Sony Vaio RS520 Upgrade

Hello,
I'm new here. I wanted to ask you guys a couple of questions. I recently bought a Vizio 37" LCD TV. I want to upgrade my motherboard and video card (so the resolution would fit nicely). Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? Why shouldn't I just buy a new computer? Anyways, I don't have enough money to buy a new, decent computer. Ok, back to the "problem." I have an ASUS P4SD-VL motherboard and it seems like the CPU is integrated in the MB. Since I can't really remove the CPU, it's integrated, right? I was thinking that the only things I would need to upgrade are the motherboard and graphics card. Turns out I might need to get a new CPU and definitely get a new memory stick.... Well, it turns out that the motherboard that I want to buy won't be able to fit in my case, so I'll be needing to get a new case as well... Budget isn't too big ($350<=), but I think it's managable. Thanks for your help :p

If you need a:
case
motherboard
cpu
gpu
memory

You probably wont get it for $350.

Also, do you know what resolution the Vizio can handle?

Actually, I'll break it down for you in a second, and you'll see how I'll be able to get it 350> ^^

Somewhat cheap for a DX10 card.

Kinda sketchy....

Overall, it's 350+, but after the rebates, it'll be a little less than 300. The max resolution of the vizio is 1366 x 768.

Well, if you want to exclude rebates, shipping, & tax. Then of course it's possible. I'm going with what you are paying up front.

Did you buy that lcd specifically for your pc? If not, your probably off waiting until you can get a decent pc. With what you are going with, depending on what you are doing with it, might be a waste of money.

Yeah, I see what you're saying... Well, I bought it as a TV and as a monitor. The thing is that I can't rly buy a new computer right now (even though my current comp is 3 years old) 'cause of the following: A) $$$$$$ B) Probably going to study abroad in 2008-2009 so I don't want to spend too much money on a computer (by saying computer, I mean a desktop) C) Will probably get a laptop because of that. I got the LCD since it was pretty cheap ($535 shipped) and I've been looking for one for sometime. Do you have any suggestions for me as what I should do? It really sucks to see those horizontal black bars 'cause my card doesn't support the right resolution for the TV. Also, if I put it on "wide" mode, the picture becomes distorted. The only thing I can do is put it on a resolution of 1024 x 768 and to see those stupid black bars -_- Thanks again :p

Note: Should I just get an AGP card and get it done with? That's my only other option.

I am currently building a C2d system... 1gig ram ecyt ect around $350. You can get an Fan, Mobo, and CPU combo for $150 (abit!) at Partspc.com An E4300... But at times their prices rise to $170-190, at evening it lowers... weird...

Aww I wanna wii! =( they're been under "maintaince" since yesterday evening..
Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, this sucks... So wait, can you really get a motherboard/CPU combo, memory stick, and a graphics card for about $350? If so, that would make me rly happy :p That graphics card I posted (XFX 8500GT) is pretty neat, considering the fact that it's DX10 compatible and it's relatively cheap.
