k, well heres the deal. My dad cut me off his computer cause he said i use it to much so now i need to buy my own to play games on. I mainly play counter strike cz and source, also bf2 and cod2. Im just woundering what kind of set up you guys suggest i get. Im only 16 and have a limited budget so i need something to get me going cause ive been away from my clan for too long. Thanks

Well we need to know what you're limited budget amounts to... But you'll probably end up with something like a Core 2 Duo, probably about 1 gig of RAM, a 7600GT/7900GS/x1900 XT...or something around that :P

well the main computer shop here that is a cyber cafe said they could hook me up with a computer for about 1200$ canadian so somewhere in there is what im looking at. ( this is just for the tower, not worried about a moniter right now )

im heading down there tomorrow before my exam so ill ask about it. How will i be saving a ton of money? If i build it myself will it be fast. I only play online and i hate lagging. I want it to be fast with good graphics

People who sell prebuilt computers almost always overcharge you.. buying the separate components from newegg, ncix(canadian), etc can save you a couple hundred dollars.

When you are at the cafe find out all the info about the comp as possible; The CPU, Graphics card, Motherboard, amount and speed of RAM, HDD, PSU, etc. If they can't tell you everything you want to know I would just skip it, it could be a very bad deal.

alright will do, can you give me the link to the ncix site?

so yeah they couldnt really tell me what would be in the computer. So i guess ill be building one up. If any one has any free time woudl they like to build one for me by typeing out all the parts that i would need to make a decent gaming computer that wont break the bank

That psu would be risking the computer and it's components, so instead get the ultra and change that case to something like the centurion 5 or the antec 900 which is around the same price.

not being funny but i don't see why people spend $90 on a case when you can get them for $40

because when building a computer having a bad case is one of the biggest hassles. improper cooling in bad cases can cause hardware failure, and a flimsy case that breaks everytime you install something or try to move it is bad for obvious reasons.

Exactly. The case i choose wasn't the greatest I agree, But the reviews (as flaky as they may be) were good.
