When I build my new one...

When I build my new PC, and before I get one of the 8900's, whenever they come out. Would it be alright to use my X1300PRO for a little while? When I do get my hands on a new vid card, how will I completely wipe out the X1300's drivers? Will this be difficult?

Thanks

no, it should be pretty easy just delete it form add or remove and then go under hardware and under video display click uninstall thats what i did last time i upgrded a video card althou i returned it cause the preformance of a x1650pro was like my 7300

Okay, and then after I wipe the drivers and Catalyst software, I just shut down and install the new one.

I am wanting to go for the 8950GX2, 8900GTX, or 8950GT, which should I go for? I am setting the 'bar' at $600, I just don't like spending that kind of money in one component. So if I got the 8950GX2, I could make myself think that I bought two cards and basically, I did. Sorry, complicated thoughts, lol.

Sometimes remenents of your old drivers persist, causing problems. To be safe you need to wipe the drivers with drivercleaner, or whatever.

A GX2 would certainly last you, But I always considered it overkill, not to mention too expensive. A GT/GTX would be awesome, and would be alittle easier on your wallet. :)

Is the 8950GT better than an 8900GTX? It would seem so

Those will never come out

I think nvidia will skip to 9800 series, it supposed to come out late this year
