How to make this old computer faster.....900mhz celeron

I used BIOS Cleric because her motherboard supported it. Some motherboards support it some don't. But if you want to clock in OS use a program called ClockGen. It is by Cpuid. Probably first on google results. I don't recommend clocking in OS because it screws around with other things and sometimes causing your computer to freeze or even crash. If you can try it in Bios first. Then use ClockGen

was that to me? i see "cleric" but i have no idea what you are talking about

Yeah, it is different, it is Core architecture and the Pentium D is Netburst architecture. I would recommend the Allendale Pentium over any Presler or Smithfield Pentium.

i wasnt aware there was a pentium dual core

Pentium D is dual core

He meant the new Allendale Pentium, the E2140 and E2160. Just below an E4300

They're calling them Pentiums? Hmm..

Probably to confuzzle people... But I think there's a marketing jibe by calling the most basic non-Celerons the Pentiums because of their low performance.

You know It is alright, Haven't had any problems with it, It has 24bit 7.1 audio, But I'm running 5.1, So i'm not really getting the full effect. I have about 1000 songs on iTunes and I listen to them about every day. It's onboard by the way, So that is partially why I bought it. I looked up it's value and it said it was worth $45.99. So i guess it is a good deal to get it onboard. My VGA is also onboard but im getting Geforce 8600 soon (PNY 256mb GeForce8660FS)
