the main thing i want to know is where did the zip drive go. would you rather transfer 100 megs or 1.3 megs.y did it ever change and why did the go with something with far less space?

These are both antiquated pieces of equimpment. They have been replaced by thumb usb drives and dvd's those are cheaper then the zip disks ever were and can hold a heck of a lot more information

think back 10 years would you realy srcafice about 95 megs. i woudl have rather spent the extra and got a lot more space. i talking about 10 years ago not todays standerds.

by the time zip drives were necessary, cd-r's were already a better alternative

i mean, i got my 1st job back in 1996 just so i could buy a cd-recorder, and even then the discs were only $3 a piece. And not only that, but you could even make audio cd's for your car or discman. That was the coolest thing ever.

Zip drives were a joke.
