360 owners and Vista alike, Unite on X box Live together!

This should be good...I think PC users will have a advantage on aiming over a xbox user but will be fun to find out.

Team PC vs Team Xbox would be a good match.

They actually did a study on this and the reaction time/accuracy of xbox gamers vs pc gamers was very similar mouse and keyboard gamers don't have any advantage over controller gamers as once thought

I just don't know about that, it seems high inpossible.

that's just after a quick google search lots of sites like that just google it

I don't remember where I found the original article it may have been in a magazine or something but I believe it is true. To understand you really need to watch someone who is good with a controller they are just as fast at aiming as with a mouse and I don't believe there are any disadvantages(though I still prefer my mouse and keyboard)

Modding

Won't cheating/modding be a problem?

They can ban you from XBL, but not from the internet... plus you can get dynamic IP's to prevent IP banning... right?

It seems like the map files being changed or modded could also make it crash pretty easily because it is multi-system.

You can ban MAC addresses, which are at hardware level and are not easily run past. Other than that, those do sound like legit concerns. My friend has the Shadowrun Demo, and he says you can't tell who is a PC or 360 player.

Good point, I totally forgot about that. Most of the time you hear about IP banning.

I'm just afraid of the stability and preformance of a cross platform game server.

Seems plausible. Think about it, if they've been using the controller since the xbox came out with halo, then they're gonna be a lot better with it then most people are with a K+M

What about the people using a KB+M for almost 10 years now? Wouldnt you think they would be pretty good with it by then?

That true, but the fact is that a controller joystick poses a physical limitation compared to a mouse. With a mouse, much greater sensitivity and precision is possible.

I'm not saying PC gamers are more skilled than console games, just that the mouse is the more responsive control.

Changing the MAC address is practically impossible, but you are able to spoof it so it appears as a different MAC to everyone else.

As for IP banning, if you have a static IP, you cant ask your internet provider to give you a dynamic IP, but you may be able to get a new static IP, although sometimes they charge you for it.
