:)Hey All im just wondering honestly what is the best gaming device for graphics?? because i had a xbox360 and the graphics in games like Call of Duty 3 and gears of war were incredible! now im looking at building a gaming pc and after looking at some of the screenshots for pc games they dont seem much better than xbox360.. is the pc REALLY alot better than the 360 and ps3?
 
I would say it is for some games but I think that as soon as directx10 games like crisis start coming out the pc graphically will be superior to consoles
 
yeah but COD4 is modern warefare isnt it? i like the WWII games :) i really wish they would bring COD3 out on pc! then i would be really happy!! i LOVED it on XboX360 the online play is soo much fun!

PC is superior to consoles graphically. Most definitely not $pricing$ though.

no i meant 470(aus) for the cpu.. not the whole computer :P im spending about $3000-$3500 for the computer.
im going to get the E6600 and the 8800GTX and about 2-3 gb of ddr2 ram so it should run pretty good i hope :)
 
I just picked up a ps3 a few weeks ago for ninja gaiden sigma. And I'm very please with it. Atleast I dont need to send it in to ms for replacement 3 times a years like 360. And yea for the amount I spend on it, I can easily get a 8800gtx. But u can install linux on ps3, and I love the up coming game for ps3 in the next 2 monthes. ninja gaien july 3, Lair augest 4 and heavenly sword on september.
 
I would without a doubt Ditch the Consoles. For the money your spending on a e6600. WAIT until July 22nd when the price cut hits the quad core cpus.

THE Q6600 will be 266 USD. Get a quad core, And run 2 8800gtx in sli. Thats all you need.

is that australian dollars?? 2 8800GTX cards would cost just under $2000 here

$3000 AUS dollars would convert to about $2500 USD.. Damn things are expensive down under.

The reason consoles are so cheap is because the companies that make them plan of taking a loss on every single console they sell, and then plan on making that loss back up from the games that their customers will buy. For example, I think I remember reading that the Playstation 3 cost like $150 more to make than what they were selling it for.

yeah i think the same happend with the PSP they didnt make much on it i think it was like $30(aus) but $900 for the ps3?? RIP OFF!! especially when they charge $120(au) for games! u could buy 3 good pc games for that

hey Kornowski i have a quick off the subject question... i noticed u use a gigabyte Graphics Card im thinking of buying the gigabyte version of the 8800GTX do u think its a wise choice?? are gigabyte a good make?
