It would most likely be the opposite to 3d and shiny, to make a good one it should fit in with the maps you play in, seeing as almost all of the mainly palyed maps are sort of rustic (chateau, dust, dust2) you would want a sort of rough edged, dark, limited use of colour. That sort of thing
 
dragon, if you concerned about n00bs, how about the "good" players teach the "n00bs' to get better? just a though...then again, why do i care? I don't believe in clans. I never stick with 1 game too long anyway....

I believe in making it stick out so ppl see it.....Why do you think Intel put the 4 on the Pentium 4 badges in orange? I don't know if that's why they did it though.

Just go make a jpeg in Photoshop, Paint, Fireworks, etc. Go to CS:S go into Options and Import it.... Or save my image or any image from the web and save to a location that you know where it's at, and ^^^Do that
