Free O/S for laptop needed

Hello

I want to use my old POS laptop for web browsing only. I need a free O/S for it and I'm guessing that would be Linux. I requested some Ubuntu CD that should arrive in a month but does anybody know how long it really takes? And also is there any sort of conflicts that could occur with Linux? It's just a laptop with integrated gfx and it's like 5 years old. If it's necessary I could dig it out and find out if it's AMD / Intel. Also should I go with Ubuntu or another one? I don't mind burning a CD if necessary but a shipped one would be nicer.

Im not sure, i hear Unbuntu is nice...you can download Ubuntu and burn onto a cd and install instead of ordering it.

if that old lappy can run it,Try dream linux but Ubuntu is good also

Well the whole Mac theme of Dreamlinux doesn't really appeal to me . Here's my laptop specs:

Yeah, 128 would probably be fine, you dont need that much to run Linux, it's not like Windows.
