G.Skill mem

Well I have my computer put together and it has been booted up and seems to be working fine with the G.skill memory it is formatting the harddrive right now. I will post back if I have any other problems with the ram.

G.Skill has a lower rep compared to Corsair, OCZ, Crucial, and others while Geil has one of the worst.

I disagree with that too as far as GSkill, just because its not as well known does not mean it has a lower reputation. Almost all legit reviews it comes in as good or better than most! I,ve used it in about 80% of my build for the last year and never had any problem with it.

I think it is excellent ram this is the frist time I have used the ram and it is excellent and much cheaper than most brands. I bought 4GB's to use with Windows XP Pro 32Bit

If you are seeing good results then you run it. Some brands of memory seem to be better suited for certain makes of boards. For Asus boards Kingston seems to be doing a better job then Corsair while that's an excellent brand for gaming and even value ram. The main complaint heard was on one of the two by one source running a local repair shop where it was stated: "if you can get it to work run it.". GEIL suits the bill more there. Sometimes companies will sell under another name in addition to the better known.
