best online fps

warrock is good and free:)

but can be laggy,crash to desktop at times and their servers are un-reliable:D

but i wouldnt say its the best,Im looking for a better FPS:)

The most commonly found online FPS games that are played today, from what I have noticed, are Counter Strike: Source, Insurgency (new free mod for steam, great game) and Battlefield 2142.

Warrock from my experience was horrid. I despise that game. Doesn't run very nice, graphics are low grade, weapons realism and player realism is nasty, aiming isn't the best and the general feel to the game is unlike any I've ever played before (in a bad sense). Not a game I personally would recommend but of course, each to their own.

But in answer to your question. The best online FPS game would have to be Counter Strike: Source. Most especially for it's server and player base (there are vast amounts of them) and for it's general popularity. I quite enjoy this game also and find it rather entertaining to play regardless of such people as koOp saying that unhelpful malarkey about it. Try it and find out for yourself, it's the best way to gather an opinion :)

i do totaly agree with you,The graphics could be better realy considering now K2 are getting money from premium members and making a furtune.
the whole game needs a facelift :D

But i still play it because i like it better than Wolfestien:enemy terretory.
i like how you can drive tanks,hummers,bikes and choppers etc where as in Wolfestien:enemy terretory your just on your feet all the time.
 
Good god you prefer that game to Enemy Territory? That's a shocker. I absolutely adored Enemy Territory. I like the idea that your fighting on your feet as it emulates the actual proper war soldiers fight on foot. Good job you didn't get Insurgency installed as that's purely infantry fighting too. Enemy Territory (bare in mind how amazingly old it is) is a very good free game for it's time. Even the graphics aren't half bad.

Actually it might be worth checking into that game too. Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

i know im probably going to make alot of enemies for saying this but to be 100% honest i think gears of war is CRAP!! its graphics are good and looks awesome on a big plasma tv or monitor but thats about it really.. like u run around shooting these "locast" freaks that come up through the ground for about 5-8 hours and then the games over.. and its not FPS either.. and the amount of hype and praise this game gets only adds to the dissapointment when u have bought it:( i had it on xbox360 and it was very very mediocre! i think the best game is anything in the call of duty series! they have good graphics AWESOME fun for online play however the actual single player game is pretty simple and kinda repetative.. but who really buys a game without the intention of using it online.. i like WWII games appose to the modern warefare but counter strike is DEFINATELY a winner! its the type of game 99% of FPS fans around the world have.. the other 1% live under a rock:D

i only wish call of duty 3 would come out on pc:( but its not! i emailed them and they said no:( bloody sell outs

thats a good point but lol I cant play fps, it make my head dizzy every time when I have to do a quick 360 degree turns. And gear of war might not be as good as most people said, but for the first time playing a almost like fps's tps game I was very happy and didn't get a single head ache.:)

hahaha that sucks my dad used to feel sick when he tried to play my games wen i was lil hahaha... in gears of war when u run does that make u sick??:D i like the running animation its like those swat police shows u see where they all run in and start shooting up the place:P
