I have a Radeon X850 Pro AGP and I gave it to my friend as he was interested in buying it.
He currently has a 9200 Pro in there, he has 1GB of RAM and I don't know what CPU he has.
Well, I took out the 9200 and stuck in the X850 Pro, I had to use the power connectors included with it as the cables he had didn't reach. The old 9200 didn't need a molex connector.
Well, We turned it on and went to install the drivers off the CD, but it didn't read the CD, so we got them off the ATI web-site, they were the right ones too.
He could use it all he wanted in the desktop and in Windows.
But when he gamed, it would play for about a minute and then the screen would go off.
I know the GPU works as I had it in my old computer and it has been kept safe in an anti-static bag since being taken out of the old computer.
My old PSU that ran it was a 250watt with 14A on the +12v rail. The PSU in his computer is a 300watt, with 15A on the +12v rail...
What gives, why doesn't it work?
Thanks
