I'm planning to get a macbook pro for university. I'm just wondering if it would run games such as battlefield 2/counter-strike source flawlessly; like no monitor refresh rate problems, smooth, no lag, etc..
Thanks in advance!

Nope, not in the Mac OS anyway... Maybe in Bootcamp on Windows but, you may wanna check the graphics card.

The one with the core 2 duo and 8800m or something gpu ?

I heard it can but im not sure because I don't really know much about those.

I think it's more in the range of a 8600m GT.... It's a decent card, by the way......

Think of it this way: CS:S: Settings 2 da max.......
Oblivion: max auto settings.......
Half-Life 2: Settings 2 da max.....

Yeh you will be able to play them games easily (dual boot). My macbookpro will play them at full settings and its the old one without the 8600gt.
