My computer's motherboard broke, and estimated replacement of the motherboard is $250, so I decided to buy an entirely new tower, which was $195. Problem is that it didn't come with a lot of the freeware that I've come accustomed to. I'm going to list a few things that I need, and I want you to tell me where to download them.

Microsoft Office 2003 (yeah, there's not even an office program at all on here)
Flash
Adobe Pagemaker
PDF reader
The new Internet Explorer (the 7.0 version)
Microsoft Windows XP

I'll add to this list as I discover what else I don't have that I want.

If you want those exact things to download, no-one on here will be giving you download links to a few of them (such as MS XP, Office, Flash etc) as those are applications you have to pay for. Or are you asking for free equivalents?

Rove (aka Breaks).

well for an office replacement you could try openoffice

http://www.openoffice.org/

as for xp replacement....sorry but you will have to buy it....unless you choose a free OS which would be Linux:)

you can run Openoffice on linux.

None of the Microsoft OS's are downloadable. If they are it is a pirated copy and you will get no help on this forum.

Flash - www.adobe.com
Adobe Pagemaker - same
PDF reader = same
Pagemaker is not free. The others are. If you are not willing to purchase your software then I can help you no further.

Microsoft Office 2003 OpenOffice.org
Flash -
Adobe Pagemaker
PDF reader - Adobe PDF reader - Free
The new Internet Explorer (the 7.0 version) www.microsoft.com
Microsoft Windows XP - Ubuntu

The others you will have to buy, or you might be able to find a linux based version if you search hard enough

You can run OO.org on windows too.

There is nothing wrong with discussing and recommending freeware. Noone is talking about where to find a free copy of windows or flash, which in turn would not be legal and against forum rules.:)

I think you had better go back and read the original post.

I don't want to act like an administrator but I just want to give you a reminder to remember to read the rules as freeware is not allowed

Forum Rules
Why would freeware be against the forum rules? Unless I'm missing something, the rules in this area say:
...asking where to get full versions of licenced applications or where to find working cracks or whatnot...
which is very different than freeware.
