buying a new 500 gb HDD soon, my question - is that im going to use both the 500 gb and 200 gb for my system adding up to 700 gbs , but what i wanna do is from my 200 gb hdd is to transfer all my game files to the 500 gb hdd and keep them there, would there be no probs at all and screw up my profiles ?:confused:

I think there would be some sort of a problem because of a hard drive letter change that might occur when you run the game apps off the 500 GB hard drive. You might try to install each game, then copy the profile folders etc.

If you maintain the 200gb drive as the continued OS drive the 500gb can then be used as a storage medium once partitioned and formatted. Windows will then simply detect and prompt about new hardware found as the 500gb becomes a new logical drive seen.

If you are only running one optical drive as D the 500gb will then be seen as E by the one letter default there. I thought you were planning to replace the 200gb as discussed previously. But simply slaving the new drive would allow you to keep everything running on the 200gb. For some games when reinstalled you do have to play them through all over again in order to see new game saves made. The saves from previous installation simply won't work. Each game is diffferent that way depending on the software company and game design mostly.
