2Gb with plans to upgrade to 4Gb maybe this Winter or next Spring. What OS do you plan on using? A 32-bit will only recognize 3.25Gb without some option setting, I recommend a Vista x64, if CAD will work.

As for name, I love Corsair, try this, the price will go back down to $110, I don't know what Newegg is up to:rolleyes: it was $110 when I looked at it a couple days ago.

I was going to either go with XP x64 or Vista x64

Ran the Vista compatibility test and the only thing that said I needed to upgrade was my Nero software
 
I can figure that part out...just have to get something other than McAfee as it's a royal PITA to get through with their software running.

I'm assuming you're getting the OEM version of Vista x64? Last build I got the OEM version of XP pro and it was much cheaper
