Making the switch from AMD to Intel

So, i had my mind set on AMD at first, but after reading over some benchmarks and watching some videos, i think i'm going to go with the E6750 over the 6000+. I've never had much experience with Intel, And have always been a AMD Fan, but it seems that the Intel market is dominating the gaming market as of right now. Do you all think that the E6750 is a better decision over the 6000+?
 
It's not too much more either, and by the time i actually get around to ordering my PC (Early September i believe) It might even be a little cheaper by then. Happen to know of a good mobo for the E6750 that isn't too expensive and will deliver some good performance?
 
Yeh i used to be a bit of an AMD boy as well but the core architecture by Intel is dominating the market at the moment.
 
Yeah, i never thought i'd make the switch. After watching some videos though, it looks pretty cool. Also, do they all include the auto-overclock feature? Sure you can probably get more out of manually doing so, but i'm not too OC-Savvy.:x
 
Hi mate, no they don't include the auto-overclock feature. To be honest I don't even know what it is. Yeh it's best just to learn to overclock in the BIOS its fairly easy once you know how, there's absolutely loads of guides on the internet.

yeah they are a bit behind which is sad...i dont know why because i would have thought AMD would have brought something else out better.

I wonder how the Phenom x4 will do? :)
 
Noah at first just do slight overclock by just raising the fsb, to get my e6300 to 2.5ghz from 1.86 i haven't had to touch the voltages. But to get bigger overclocks you just slightly increase the voltage in small increments when you've raised the fsb by so much that your system is unstable (use software to test for this). Yeh i also agree with the beast get the e6750.

When you do wanna OC just post a new thread here and i'm sure someone here will help.

I won't be getting my new rig for a while, but i want to get the best parts i can for the money. Is it worth it to drop more money on a more expensive mobo? I never understood what higher priced mobos have to offer over the more budget ones. (Besides more reliability, all i could really think of..) More overclock ability maybe? It's been quite some time since i've put together a PC (Way back before PCI-E came out when i decided to build mine, bad idea. :x )

Could someone help me out with a decent quality mobo for under $100? Or should i be asking this question in the mobo forum? haha, Either way, thanks guys, you're all sweet.

Since the X4 Phenom/Agena core or the X2 Phenom/Kuma core isnt released till late Novenber how do you have any idea what it going to cost. How do you know what anything is going to cost by then!
