Which One would be better? Which one would have the advantage on Graphics and Gaming based on Graphics Cards?

Sorry about it being so long i hope someone responds.:o

Let this eMachines owner tell you something weird.
Just as I was typing a response praising an eMachines as being rock-solid for three solid years of heavy daily use, my PC went black and rebooted all by itself. Never before has it done this. Get the HP. At the very least, you'll get a BIOS that's upgradeable and got more options than an eMachines.

1st of all y is an emachine so bad, my dad has one and it has been working fine.

2nd of all what does upgrading the bios have to do with anything, i thought u could always upgrade the bios.

Lastly, kof2000 this emachine has an amd x2 4400+ 2.3 ghz processor

There is no such thing as 'majority rule' in computers, I will spare you of me saying that.... What can go wrong, usually will, Build it yourself:)

1. An eMachines isn't "bad". I have had one for three solid years and only today was the first time I've had serious trouble with it.

2. eMachines BIOSes aren't upgradeable because eMachines doesn't supply flash upgrades! They're custom versions of AMI or Award BIOSes, and at least half of the options you'll see in the motherboard manual are missing on the actual BIOS screens when you get into BIOS Setup. For instance, my motherboard supposedly has ATA-100 support on the VIA chipset, right? The BIOS as supplied by eMachines limits my chipset to ATA-66 levels. There's also no voltage adjustments for overclocking, you can't watch the machine POST, you can't adjust RAM timing... need I go on?

Yes, eMachines rebadges motherboards. My mobo is technically an FIC K7M-400 motherboard. But since I am not 100% sure the FIC BIOS flash routine wouldn't toast my CMOS chips, I'm stuck with an eMachines (=limited) BIOS and foolproof settings.
