Vista Basic Memory Usage

According to the attached image, does the memory usage seem about right for Vista Basic at idle? I only have AVG and Windows Defender running in the background. I appreciate any feedback on this!

dude you can probably go and un-install AVG and win defender and i bet that would remain the same or drop by at least some 30mb, thats WINDOWS VISTA for your information
 
Thanks. I figured it was about par for the course but wasn't sure. I guess it's not too bad compared to XP. I believe Premium and Ultimate are actually higher than that with all the new visual features. Again, thanks.
 
I see. My XP wasn't much lower than this Vista Basic. Although the transparent glass and 3D-Flip are pretty dang cool, I would probably not use them anyway.

I have been very satisfied with Vista Basic and if anyone here has been contemplating getting it, go ahead.
 
im on vista home prem, and i idle from 500-750mb idle. Even at that i have never seen my memory usage max out
 
vista sucks with too big memory ussage without any programs running.

Try to runn some application in the same time and ure out of memory :)
