Hey Guys. I am looking for a laptop. I would use it mainly for Photoshop and everyday applications like e-mail, internet and word proccessing. I am not a keen gamer but i would prefer it to be fast, especialy when using Photoshop. I am really fussy about design, i really like the style of the Sony Vaio, MacBook and HP bussiness laptops. Any recomendations? would be pleased to answer any questions about what i am looking for.

Cheers,

I forgot to mention i have a budget of 900 british pounds. I have never used a Apple computer before.

macbook pro, inspiron, or c90s ( desktop replacement )

maybe you can get a 1420 inpiron for 900 pounds.

If i were to buy a MacBook i would have to buy the Black 2.0GHz model. I understand you can run XP and OSX on Mac can someone confirm this? Does it work? I am currently at school can i get a disscount.

if you are fussy about design, i would definatetly recommend HP. they are the best as smart design goes, in my opinion. the DV9500 is a great "heavyweight" 17" (7.5lbs)

I'm kind of against mac. But, I agree with the user who said to buy a Lenovo Thinkpad. I'm ready to get one for myself. They look like very nice machines. Another suggestion of mine. The minimum RAM for Vista is 512 MB. Which runs very slowly. Even on 1 GB of RAM it still runs slow. So, if you do go with a PC running Vista. Make sure it is above 1 GB of RAM. On a mac you can run a program called Boot Camp. Which allows you to dual boot in Mac OS X and Windows XP.
