I think people here want to know the truth not your opinion

And it is not about opinion, it is about facts.

8600GTS is faster than HD2600XT and this is a fact, just like the existence of sun that you see is a fact. I can't tell you that the sun doesn't exist in my opinion. I can't tell anyone here that FX5200 is faster than 7900GS in my opinion. People here want to know the truth, not my opinion nor your opinion.
 
And if you want to say that this video card is better than the other one then you must provide for us an evidence

You haven't showed us any review that support your "opinion"
 
Almost all the time these threads are asking for advice or opinions, there are no 'facts' only benchmarks in computing, obliviously you are posing as someone with more knowledge than you actually have.

You also assume the only thing that makes a graphics card better is gaming benchmarks, when in actuality FPS's is not the only thing people want in games or out of their video cards. This can easily be chalked up as immature thoughts from an immature perspective.

Stop posting after all of my posts and trying to deny me of my opinion, it merely shows your petty obsession with Nvidia and simple benchmarks.

People ask for advice when they don't know which is better for the price

For example people may say that is worth that to pay extra $100 to get 8800GTS for example. You can give them your opinion there.

But if someone ask you which is better for gaming, FX5200 or 7900GS (regardless of the price) then you can't give your opinion there because 7900GS is clearly better in gaming.

According to the reviews I posted in my previous posts, 8600GTS is clearly better than HD2600XT in gaming.

What people look at when they buy video card for gaming, other than FPS ?

People may look at image quality but HD2600XT doesn't produce better image quality anyway

I think you are the one who have obsession with ATI, by denying that fact that 8600GTS is faster than HD2600XT in gaming.

I just provided for you the reviews, the evidence that 8600GTS is faster than HD2600XT in majority of gaming.

You haven't showed us any review that support your "opinion"

The benchmarks in the reviews are made to let people know which video card are faster. How can you know which video card is better than the other if there is no review nor benchmark ?

You said that HD2600XT is better than 8600GTS and you said that this is your opinion !! Can you back up your opinion ? Do you have any evidence that support your opinion ? The answer is no

In other words, your opinion is not based on evidence nor reasoning.

I believe it also shows that higher resolution games and the games that require powerhouse cards.. IE: OBLIVION That ATI is the best way to go, not to mention the additional features that ATI cards off..

I never said faster, I said better..

Something being the best is an opinion, not fastest..

First: ATI didn't perform better in oblivion according to the website you posted

Second: I didn't say that 8600GTS beats HD2600XT in all benchmarks, but it is just overall better for gaming, it beats it in the majority of tests

Third: The reviews that I posted in my previous posts has done benchmarks for more and newer games

Edit: Just look at your own benchmark, 8600GTS outperformed HD2600XT in BF2142, Prey, oblivion, Doom 3, Microsoft flight stimulator and Warhammer Mark of Chaos

The only game that HD2600XT performed better is in Dark Messiah but this uses source engine which is optimized for ATI

The author of the thread said that he need a video card for gaming.

HD2600XT might be better in multimedia but it is not better in gaming. The author of the thread want a video card for gaming.....
