Ok my brothers computer my old one was completely fried a few weeks ago. Its pretty old so my dad is thinking of giving my Xps to my brother and getting me a new one. I was going to get the new XPS 710 but noticed I could build my own with even better parts for cheaper. I have build computers before but want some suggestions on all the parts. So far these are the parts I have.

So What do you think For around $2,000 this is an awsome build the motherboard can support up to 1200MHZ Ram?????

hey i would suggest 768mb GTX video card your paying all that money why not go for the whole enchilada. Other than that build looks good props to you man. Oh also you need more hdd capacity. 74 isnt enough maybe for you it is but for games music and overal multimedia its crap

Looks like a great system you got there, but I have a few comments. The power supply that comes with the case most likely wont be able to handle the 8800GTS, and especially not if you decide to upgrade or get an additional one.

The hard drive is nice and speedy, but for me, I need alot more space, so you may want to add a second hard drive for storage.

I have a extra hard drive from my Xps that I will use it already has all my music and movies on it.

Do you think 460 Watts is enough or should I get a 500-1000W

The 460 will handle the GC. But erm It's not really enough.. Because the processer fans/ram/HDD/Cd drives need Wattage and I'm sure it needs more than 10WATT. So get if you can a OCZ 1000WATT PSU to future proof you.;)

its all good ,but do u wanna shop from Tiger Direct, check the prices on the 8800 gts , the price might be a little different , but u do save a few bucks
