ACPI temp reading

i was just looking at my temps in Speedfan,And i was wondering what ACPI temprature is?

what is this reading please?

speedfan is always wacked for me. no matter what speed i'm running it ALWAYS say my 4 cores are running below 40c

Lol yes Sempron , I always thought that the Acpi temp they give you was for your cpu core??? But i think that may be wrong since Speed fan alrdy gives you the core temp...

ACPI allows the operating system to communicate with the computer's BIOS and instruct the BIOS to power down peripherals, for instance when your computer goes into hibernation mode, the operating system is using the ACPI specification to control the power to the internal components.
