College Laptop: Need Decisive Decision

As my summer is winding down I'm getting ready to go away to college and am in search of a new laptop. My parents have (un)fortunately narrowed my search down quite a bit so I was hoping that someone could point me in the direction of the one that would meet my requirements best. I realize that none of the machines listed are in any way a gaming laptop but being a gamer I would like to be able to play some of the newer games if possible so I was just curious which laptop listed would run games best:

Acer Aspirte 15.4":

So, any recommendations as to which I should chose? Any other laptops in this price range (roughly $850) that are recommended I will seriously consider as well.

Thank you.

most of them have a geforce go 6150 which wont get you very far at all the two that look the best have either the go 7600
HP Pavilion dv9000z:
or the ati x1200
Toshiba Satellite Notebook:
its lookin like the 7600 is best see what others think

Go to www.newegg.com Go to laptops section. Type in where it says search ''ASUS G1''. Without the '' and thats what I can call a true gaming laptop. Nvidia GeForce 7700 512mb;)

Unfortunately it's twice my price range. Any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated as this is going to be ordered soon.

Also, I'm looking at the Inspiron 1520 and 1420 as I heard they weren't bad after searching this forum. Any input on these two machines...they're in my budget.
