my computer only runs at 100%

with just one program open (firefox)
the processor runs at 100%
its regular clock speed is 1.66Ghz
ive OCd it to 2.00Ghz
for the first two weeks ran JUST FINE at 0%-2%
now it wont go below 95% with just one program open :[
i have 1gig or ram if that helps

well firefox uses A LOT
but even with firefox and alll the other processes i still should have 500ish megabytes of RAM freed up

I see.. Does it happen only around flash movies/animation? It's a known cause of firefox using alot of resources. One other question, does there happen all the time? From the start of firefox till the finish, or does it happen when on specific sites, etc?

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling Firefox. Looks like the install went bad on you.

how many tab you open in your firefox?? the more you open..the more space it takes..

Firefox constantly uses that much processing power? Something is very wrong there, I would guess either you're running 50 add-ons or some malware attached itself to firefox and is causing the problem.

Try with Internet Explorer and see if you still get 100% cpu usage
